How to OPEN your MIND and CONNECT to the UNIVERSE!

If you study metaphysics and spirituality, for sure you’ve heard about the concept that God is all there is, the source of everything, the entire creation… we are all one and we are all connected because we are part of Him!

And you’ve probably also heard that you can have access to all of it just by going inside yourself and opening the doors of your mind! But then the question is: where is the key to open these doors?

The answer is quite simple, the key is in your states of consciousness!

In today’s post, I’m going to talk about it and I’m going to divide the content into 4 parts. In the first one, I’m going to give you an overview of the brain waves and the states of consciousness. In the second, I will explain why Theta waves are the most important to connect with the universe. In the third, I’ll give you some tips if you want to develop your mind on your own. And on the fourth, I’ll tell you what kind of work can be done in that state of mind!

Brainwaves and States of Consciousness

You have 5 different brain waves and you go through them every single day, each one is responsible for a different state of consciousness. Two of them represent the state of alert or awake, other two are related to states of relaxation or trance, and the last one happens during deep sleep.

The fastest wave is called Gamma (approx. above 30 Hz) which is a hyper alert state where different parts of your brain connect and work together to give you a big insight, a solution to a problem! I’m sure the greatest thinkers of mankind, like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, were very used to work in this state of mind!

Below you have Beta (approx. 13 to 30 Hz) which is your normal, waking consciousness. Most of the day your brain is on this frequency. Stress and anxiety only happen in Gamma and Beta waves!

Then you have the Alpha wave (approx. 8 to 13 Hz) which is also known as a light trance state, it can be experienced when you do relaxing activities like meditation, reading and watching TV!

Below Alpha you have Theta (approx. 4 to 8 Hz) which is responsible for a deep trance state, do you know when you go through the transition between sleep and awake, and you have clear mental images inside your mind? This is what happens when your brain is in Theta! You can also experience it through deep meditation practices.

Theta waves also happen when you are dreaming, and Delta (approx. 1 to 4 Hz) which is the slowest wave, happens when you are sleeping soundly and dreamless! It is responsible for the unconscious mind!

The Power of the Theta Wave

Now that you have an overview of brain waves, let me explain why the Theta wave is the most important in any kind of holistic work!

For you to understand better the power it has, look at children between 2 and 6 years old because their brain, most of the time, is operating on Theta waves! At this age, they are like sponges absorbing everything around them, and this knowledge goes down directly into the subconscious. Which is pretty much the same thing you want to do during hypnosis, you want to guide the person into a trance state, so you can then plant suggestions in the subconscious mind!

Children are highly creative, they don’t know the difference between what is real and what is imaginary, does that sound familiar to you? The law of attraction and the law of manifestation tell you that you can create the life of your dreams, you just need to imagine and visualize it as if it were real! I’m not saying kids use these laws consciously, I’m just saying that we can learn from them how to do it properly!

Another thing you can observe, if the child has any sort of psychic experience, like seeing auras, spirits, feeling energies, or even remembering past lives, they usually happen during these ages!

Can you understand now why Theta waves are super powerful? It’s a shame we stopped using them so much after we grew up!

How to Train the Mind

Our mind is like a muscle that can be exercised, think of it as if it was a mental gym, you need the same elements as in a physical training: intention and time for practice. And like any other workout, it takes time and practice to master it and get results!

The intention has to be about something you really want to achieve because that’s what will keep you motivated to practice. In the last part of this post, I’m going to share some ideas about what you can do, just choose the one that appeals to you the most. About the schedule, I recommend 3 to 4 times a week, for at least half an hour each. If you are not used to meditate, it takes some time until you manage to calm down your mind and enter the proper state!

Don’t lie down because you might fall asleep, Theta wave is very close to Delta! The best position is half-sitting, with your back supported, and without crossing your arms and legs. When you wake up or when you are going to sleep are the best timings because your brain is already used to be in a trance state during these times of the day.

The meditation can be divided into 3 parts:

  1. Set your intention, relax, disconnect from your physical body and focus on your energy body. You will feel your energy body as if it was a ball of energy where you lose the sense of your physical body’s limits.
  2. Imagine, actively visualize the place you want to go to do the work you want. Depending on what you are looking for, you can search the internet and find some ideas about what you can visualize.
  3. At this point, your brain should be operating on Theta waves, and you should be able to see clearly in your mind’s eye. Do what you want to do and be open to receive whatever information pops into your mind, and work with it!

And I say anything! Believe it! When you open up to that side and learn to do this kind of work, there are no limits! The only problem is that we tend to discard the information and believe that we made it up!

Ideas to Explore

Now let me give you some ideas of the type of work you can do, and keep in mind that this list is not limited because when you are in Theta waves, you are connected to everything that exists!

When I spoke about children, I already mentioned manifestation and hypnosis. You can also channel your spirit guides, your “Higher Self”, angels, archangels or any other entity you want to guide you!

You can work with timelines, go to the past, a past life and even probable futures, just keep in mind that the future is not fixed, it is just a probability!

You can do healing work, you just need to connect with the infinite source of energy, channel it and direct it to a person in need, that’s what reiki masters and theta healers do!

You can mentally visit other places, like the akashic records which are the libraries in the astral world, and even other planets and galaxies in the cosmos. By the way, have you ever heard of “remote viewing”, a CIA project done in the 1970s to train psychic spies? They were trained to sit back, connect with the collective consciousness and spy on what other intelligences in the world were building!

You can also do telepathic work this way, send and receive thoughts, and connect with any other consciousness you want! Dr. Steve Greer gathers groups and goes to remote areas in order to initiate contact with UFOs like this, using only telepathy!

As you can see, the possibilities are endless! Different intentions, different techniques, but the basis is the same: working with your brain on Theta waves, that’s the key!
