IMPORTANT reminders for a PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY!

If you are as passionate as me about personal growth and development, today I will share with you some important things to keep in mind when you are on this kind of journey!

We have so much potential and we are so limited by the things that we learnt that were passed down through many generations, but it takes one person to break through these limitations and leave a legacy for the next generations!

We Are Perfectly Imperfect Beings

As human beings, we are beautiful creatures made by design to be imperfect because our consciousness needs to grow, learn and expand through our experiences, which wouldn’t be possible if we it all!

The personal growth journey is about that, so it’s very important to understand that you are not a broken person! There is nothing wrong with you, you don’t need to be fixed, you are perfect just the way you are, unique and special!

Don’t Compare Yourself to Others

Each one of us have a different journey and a different pace. Even when two people have the same goal, probably they will take different routes to get there! What works for others, not necessarily will work for you!

You can see that happening when you read a book that has a huge impact on you, and when you recommend this same book to other people, they will have different reactions!

If you want a base for comparison to check your progress, don’t look at other people! Look at your past, who you were a month ago or a year ago, and see how much you changed, how far you already got!

Become Your Own Guru

As your journey is quite unique, if you need directions, you need to learn how to listen to your inner guidance because it’s the only one that will know what’s best for you!

When you are ready to learn something new, you will meet masters on the way. Develop the habit of feeling inside yourself if what they are saying sounds true in the core of your being. If yes, great! If not, no problem! Maybe that’s not for you or maybe you are not ready to understand that lesson!

Don’t follow other people’s principles and beliefs, unless they resonate with you, become your own guru! You are the master of your own destiny!

It’s not About the Destiny, it’s About the Journey

The last thing I wanna mention today about personal development, is about the journey and the destination. We get so focused on where we want to get that we forget to enjoy the steps we need to take to get there!

Doesn’t matter where the journey will take you, matters that you enjoy everything that’s in your life on this moment! We have the tendency to go to the past or the future with our minds, and we forget to focus on the present moment!

Past is gone, future hasn’t arrived yet and the present moment is the only one you have, and the most important of them because everything happens here and now!
