SELF LOVE: How to IMPROVE your relationship with YOURSELF!

I spoke a lot about dating on my last posts, so today I will give some hints about how to improve your relationship with the most important person in the world, yourself!

The main relationship that you have in life is with yourself because in the end of the day, you are the only person that you will have from the beginning to the end of this journey, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for as many years as you live! So the journey will be much better if you enjoy your own company!

The way we are raised here on Earth, self love is a very difficult lesson, so if you haven’t started to work on it yet, you should start as soon as possible. Besides, is technically impossible to have a healthy relationship with someone else while you don’t have a healthy relationship with yourself first.

Is a matter of compatibility, the language of the universe is energy and vibration where alike attracts alike! So the more emotionally wounded you are, the lower your vibration will be, which will create interactions with other people on this same level! The only way to improve this, is to fall in love with the person you see on the mirror!

The journey is yours to walk alone but people can show you the way, so to hep you out, today I will give you 4 hints that you can use to improve your relationship with yourself.

Cultivate your Interests

Very often we feel the need to “be normal” and to fit in society, and with that we develop the habit of comparing ourselves to others, which doesn’t help us at all! Instead doing that, why don’t you cultivate your interests as a way of becoming the unique being that you should be?

Time and money cannot be used as excuses, time is a matter of priorities and, if you don’t have money, there are loads of things that you can learn for free on the internet! Even if you are busy, for sure you can fit some time in your schedule to do something that you enjoy.

Do a simple math, lets say that you dedicate 3 months to learn something new, after a year you will know 4 new topics… can you imagine how much knowledge will you have after a few years?

This will make you stand out from the crowd as a very interesting person, which will increase your self-esteem! To cultivate your unicity through your interests, for sure is a good way to go!

Take Care of Your Body

If you had a car, how would you take care of it? Would you give apple juice instead of petrol? Olive oil instead of engine oil? Probably not because the car would break, right?

Your physical body is the vessel that your consciousness drives to have experiences in this life, is your best friend that will be always with you, from the first breath to the last one! Your entire life story gets printed in your physical body, your emotions, lifestyle and food.

It’s not without reason that people start to have physical problems when they age, they don’t realize the impact that their habits have in the long run. If you don’t want your body to break, treat it well, it’s a matter of self-care! Eat properly, do exercises and avoid abuses!

You can measure how much people love themselves just by observing how they treat their physical bodies! It’s never too late to improve your lifestyle, just keep in mind that might take years to reverse the damages that you already did! To love your body and treat it well is an act of self love, your well-being and your self-esteem will thank you for that!

Control your Mind

Let me ask you something, how would you feel if you had someone by your side criticizing you and speaking negative things about you all the time? Probably you would feel bad, right?

Many people have this kind of mind and their thoughts are overpowering! And you cannot get rid of your mind, it is part of you, so if you don’t want it to mistreat you all the time, you need to learn how to control it!

You are not your thoughts, you are the bigger consciousness behind them! You must learn to expand your consciousness so you can defeat this negative talk that your mind has, and the only way I know that will teach you this, is meditation and breathing techniques. Pamper Yourself

You buy gifts to people that you love, go out for dinner or to do something interesting, right? What about yourself, do you give yourself the same things and treat yourself as much as you do to others?

You should be your biggest priority and with that comes the responsibility to give more to yourself than to other people. You can practice self love through small gestures, doesn’t need to be something big! From time to time give yourself a gift, take yourself out or even take a good bath and a have a romantic night with yourself.

Besides, you cannot give what you don’t have, if you don’t love yourself enough, there is no way you can love any other person in a healthy way, it’s practically impossible!

You are the best company you will have from the beginning to the end of this journey called life! Some people might walk by your side for a while but they might go away at any moment, so it doesn’t matter how much you love another person, always remember this!
