What is it LIKE to have a SPIRITUAL AWAKENING? (You soul wakes up, you are not crazy!)

What Causes Spiritual Awakening

Not everyvody is interested in spirituality, some people are quite content and even happy about life, they are comfortable as a human being, so they don’t feel the need to search for further explanation about what is life or why they exist.

Usually what causes spiritual awakening is suffering! How much pain can people endure before they seek enlightenment? Enlightenment is a full comprehension about the situations you have in your life, and as the human perspective is very limited, the soul comprehension becomes necessary to achieve it!

People seek spirituality when they search for answers to the big questions:

Why do I exist?
Why am I living this life? What am I supposed to be doing with it?
Why is there so much injustice and suffering in the world?
Who is God?

They want to understand the meaning and purpose behind the suffering they see, either in the world or even in their own lives!

Many factors can trigger this search, the most common ones are diseases, feelings of injustice, intense emotional pain or even the loss of a loved ones and the desire to know if the person continues to exist.

The Spiritual Awakening Process

Now, let’s talk about what happens when you go through the spiritual awakening, and I can already tell you, it is not for the faint of heart! You might experience some mild symptoms such as your whole world falling apart or even thinking that you are going crazy!

This meme illustrates quite well “expectations X reality” about spiritual awakening, and I guess only the ones that went through the process will be able to fully understand it!

Unless you were raised in a spiritual family and you are fully familiar with the principles, if you wake up spiritually after you are an adult, probably you will have a hard time, and I will tell you why!

By the time you reach 20 years old here, on this planet, you are a fully conditioned human being and you believe that you are the character that you spend your whole life building. And in order to wake up fully, spiritually speaking, you will have to deconstruct pretty much everything that you believe about the world and even about yourself. And trust me, that’s not an easy task!

For sure your ego will not like it because it is like an interface that makes you believe that this reality is actually real. So if you want to expand your consciousness in other levels, you will have to break through it and go beyond!

To simplify what is the spiritual awakening process, initially you make sense of creation, existence, God and how the spiritual levels work, to figure it out later what is your role inside all of this. It’s like assembling a puzzle to find out which piece you represent inside the big picture.

And to assemble it, you will have to search for the spiritual truths and usually they are not compatible with the human beliefs. So every time that you find a new piece (spiritual belief), you will destroy an old one (human belief), and this might make you feel as if your world is falling apart!

It is a long process! How many years took you to become the person that you are today? Obviously you will not change overnight! It’s going to take some time until you manage to deconstruct the character you spent your whole life creating. The more you expand your consciousness, the more you will find your true self, and that’s a profund experience that will transform you in many levels!

It might happen that your friends will not understand the things that you’re talking about, you might make new friends more aligned with your new vibration, your interests and habits might change as well, uou might even disconnect a bit from the human experience and stop finding pleasure in the things that you used to like before.

That’s all completely normal during the awakening process! It takes some time until you bounce back to your human existence as a transformed person.

Once you stabilize in your new personality that you will find during this process, then yes, remember the meme that I showed in the beginning of this post? You will be looking like the person on the left, all beautiful, peaceful and centered. You will still be human, you will still have difficulties as well, but you’ll be better equipped to deal with them!

The process to grow on those levels is quite painful but I assure you, is completely worthy! If you are going through a spiritual awakening, just know that you are not alone! There are many people on this side that went through the process and can support you with what you need, and there are many light beings in the other side that will be with you during the whole process!
